Kareena Kapoor is the new face of Globus

Kareena Kapoor is the new face of the apparel retail chain - Globus. She has replaced Soha Ali Khan who was the face of the retail chain last year. The chain has also announced plans of launching around 150 new stores.

Akshay Raheja, Globus Vice Chairman, informs that Kareena's sense of style, charisma and attitude reflects the aspirations of millions of young Indians. She has experimented with a variety of roles and hence one has seen her in different stunning looks.

According to Vinay Nadkarni, Globus CEO, the retail chain is looking at a pan India presence across 70 cities over the next five years. Kareena's wide appeal would go a long way in establishing Globus as a versatile, vibrant and expressive fashion brand.

The retail chain has also roped in 50 designers and product specialists to forecast international fashion trends and create the latest merchandise, which will be exclusively made available under the Globus and F21 brands.

From the comic to the comical that’s what it was as a gaming portal threw its annual bash at JW Marriott on Thursday.

The night kicked off with stand-up comedian Vir Das cracking up the packed house with his version of the games women and men play. What followed was a rather bizarre fashion show by Vikram Phadnis, showcasing what he called his ‘gaming avatar’ collection. It turned out to be more scary than stylish with models including Jesse Randhawa and Mridula Chandrashekhar looking like they were at a fancy dress ball! Crazy clothes, fluorescent footwear, hideous headgear were all there rushing across the ramp.

You wished you had a mouse in hand to stop the game. However, the gaming characters would look good on screen.

The showstoppers, though, were elegantly attired. Malaika Arora-Khan shook her bootilicious body in a fetching gold-and-black ensemble. Close on her heels was Katrina Kaif looking cool and hot at the same time.

Also present to celebrate with host Rohit Sharma were Poonam Mahajan, Lesle Lewis, Rohit Verma, Candice Pinto, Samir Sheth and Leena Mogre
